UV protection coating agent for laminated packaging materials Z254 Clear UV NT

A highly transparent coating that prevents the contents from deteriorating and contributes to reducing food loss with its excellent ultraviolet (UV) blocking performance. Since it is a high solid type, high UV protection ability can be obtained with low plate depth application. It is a toluene-free and non-MEK type.

Light transmittance and haze value

Light transmittance: Transmittance from 220 to 780 nm was measured using a spectrophotometer V-560 (manufactured by Jasco) using an integrating sphere.
Haze value: Measured using haze meter NDH2000 (manufactured by Nippon Denshoku Industries).

Precautions for use

  1. In order to obtain sufficient UV blocking effect, please keep the following points in mind when using this product.
    - The printing plate depth should be 20μ (200 lines) or more.
    - Print viscosity should be based on Zahn cup #3-16 seconds or more.
    ・Avoid mixing other inks such as LIOALPHA SR Medium.
  2. About boiling and retort use
    The results of our tests using the configuration below are as follows.
    - Using boiling (85℃, 30 minutes): Applicable.

    - Retort use (120℃, 30 minutes): Applicable if this ink is used as a single color.
    However, when layered with colored ink or white ink, the printing base material in question tends to break due to stretching after retorting, so please check carefully before use.
